Description

A very small blue, green and yellow bird commonly found in gardens, parks and woodlands. Juveniles are much more a paler green and yellow all over. Male and female are similar, though males are slightly more blue on their back.

Spotting Tip

Distinguishable from the Great Tit by its blue head, the Blue Tit is smaller and more similar in size to the Coal Tit. Unlike Great Tits and Coal Tits, Blue Tits have a blue cap on dark band accross their eye.
