One of our most common birds, House Sparrows can be seen almost everywhere throughout the UK. Very vocal and social birds, they are usually found in flocks.
Unlike its relative the Tree Sparrow where the male and female look alike, male House Sparrows have black chins, thick dark bills, and white strips along their wings. Females are brown / grey all over and have a light brown cap, unlike the male's grey cap on their heads.
