A common bird across garden, parks and woodlands, Wrens are tiny, round-bodied birds with a perked, upright tail and curved downward pointing bill. They have a faint stripe along their eye and barred wings and tail. Male and female are similar.
Often found in shrubs and bushes, these mouse-like birds have one of the loudest calls for their size and can be heard from all around. They always seem to be on the move, darting around along the ground and in bushes.
